Valentine's Day Mini Sessions!

No, I don't have a blog set up yet! I'm still using my facebook to post as many new shoots as I can. I will try to post as many of my Holiday shoots from October-December as I can since I wasn't able to post often then.

Valentine's Mini Session Details:

Fee: $125 for 20 minute sessions

Date: February 5th, 2011 (next Saturday)

Time: 8:30 - 4:30 (only 6 spots left)

What's Included: 10 images on a disc (both in color and black & white)

As with all of my mini sessions, I will have props with me. If their is a specific prop you want to use, please let me know in advance so I can be sure to bring it. If you are unable to make the date of mini sessions, email me anyways because (depending on how many people I get) I may add a second day to these minis!

Jackson: 3 Month Session

I love this entire session! Awesome new location and fun props. Balloons are my new favorite prop. Since this location isn't as close as most, I did 3 sessions at the same place, back to back. It was hot...but we managed. I can't say it enough, I love morning light. It is amazing! Oh, and Izabel is so used to the camera so she works it...She got in the fountain at the end...and had fun!She thought she was funny with the balloons! :)

Connor's 1st Birthday Shoot

I was a little worried that this shoot just wasn't going to happen the way we wanted it to. We quickly realized that we were defeated the first day. The tears and screaming wouldn't stop, even with the smash cake right in front of him! The second try was a little tricky, but we won...not as many outfit changes or location changes as we'd hoped for, but what can you do when they're 1? :)He didn't care for my red chair the first time around, so we decided to use his red chair....he obviously liked it!Cleaning him off in the ocean was much easier than trying to use baby wipes! :)Haha...it's so wrong, but so fun! :)

I can't even begin to tell you how easy this family was to photograph! Hands down, the most cooperative kids I've ever photographed. Usually having a session with a family of 5 can be difficult, but the kids just went along with whatever I asked them to do! I think it helps if the parents are easy-going and don't stress out over the photos. Make it fun for your kids and I promise you won't be disappointed with the outcome!

It was such a fun wedding and it will definitely go down as one of my favorites. The attention to detail was phenomenal and the bride couldn't have been any more gorgeous! This was such a fun reception...I will let the photos do the talking.An awesome DJ...if anyone wants his contact info. let me know!This shot was tricky to get, but the bride requested it. I had to stand on a table while the DJ held my legs so I didn't fall! 140+ guests in one picture!The brides sisters!The grooms twin brother!She hired hip hop dancers and an Indian dancer to perform while the guests ate dinner. It was a neat idea!!!Best candid picture ever! The group of hip hop dancers...There was a lot of dancing going on! :)This was a rowdy table!!!

This is going to be my new reference for "what to wear" because that's the single most common question I get in emails. I LOVE the patterns and vintage feel. People, you do not have to match perfectly. Jessica loaded her car with outfits for both of them and when we got to the location, we just threw a few together for each spot were going to be using. I loved it.

She is usually the one taking pictures (like me), so we had to get some good pictures of her with her girls! Jackson is 4 weeks old...not quite the "little" newborn anymore! I was so nervous because this was the oldest newborn I've done. He was actually a breeze though! He made it so easy for me! Doesn't Kassidy look so happy to be a big sis? I don't know how, but he was wide awake and let us get the hanging shot that mom wanted! He was so relaxed that he didn't move once after we got him set up! :)

Oh. My. Goodness. It was HOT (like that's anything new), but I felt Stephanie's pain! :) I just remember being 8 months prego in July and it was miserable! The heat is multiplied like 20 times when your pregnant and she still braved the Florida sunshine to have her maternity pictures taken! I have been taking pictures of Olivia since she was a little thing...she's not so little anymore. Now it's her brothers turn!!! Davis is so handsome and CALM! He's the complete opposite of his sis! He stayed awake for most of the shoot, but didn't cry once...I loved it! Oh, and I want to say THANK YOU to Sheryl because I love...LOVE...the wagon!!! I have been looking for one at yard sales and thrift stores for several months (I even had my parents on the hunt when they went to TN). Anyway, it's perfect and thank you again!

I met up with Abby and Ryan at Selby Botanical Garden to take Jack's 6 month pictures along with some family shots! It was HOT out by 10:00 when they opened...I mean ridiculously hot! Jack stayed happy for me until the very end when we tried the sock monkey shots and then he just hated me! :) Everything was totally worth it though!Mom was tickling him and I thought it was cute! :)

I have so many people who missed the last round that I've decided to do another. The location will be announced next Monday. The field we were going to use has been mowed...boo! I will be scouting a few locations on Saturday and the address will then be given to anyone who has already reserved a spot. I will only be booking between 20 and 25 shoots so make sure you get your spot NOW (about half of them are already taken)! The time says until 2:00, but I will extend it if I book all of these spaces.

Oh my goodness!!! This shoot was amazing...she was the best baby girl ever AND mom was up for anything which made me very happy! I had many firsts for this shoot...the hanging baby pose and the hands under chin pose. Both hard and both conquered!

Ahhhh, I can't even stand his curls!!!! He is seriously the cutest! He lives in NC, but decided that he was going to have a photo shoot when he came for vacation! They were definitely troopers with the heat. They are used to warm weather, but it was ridiculous that day (and it was 9:30 in the morning)!!! I think when I got back in my car the temp. read 103 degrees! Insane. Needless to say sweat was pouring off of everybody! This first picture is one of my favorite photos ever....

How cute are those baby butts!!!!?? :) Shelby is almost 1 and I can't believe it. I met this family not even 6 months ago and they've already done like 6 photo shoots! They're so laid back and they just go with the flow which is SO awesome!!! Half of the time Shelby and Cole want nothing to do with it, but the photos we get are always great. So I got a box FULL of goodies from Caps of Grace not too long ago and I was asked to take product photos so they can get them up on their etsy store! First, I was so excited that someone wanted my photos to represent their product. Second, I was stoked to get all of these awesome hats! These are only a few of the girl hats. I was home processing photos yesterday and I looked up at my babies (including my niece) and they were being so sweet to each other, sharing toys and playing with Blake. I wanted to get a really cute picture of all 4 of them together for my mom so I busted out my lights and set up! The one photo that I fell in LOVE with I won't post (it has all of their cute tushes in it), but these are a few of the others that I took. I always get asked "what should I dress my child in?" Well, if you haven't been introduced to Matilda Jane Clothes yet, you are missing out! I discovered them about a year ago and fell in LOVE with it. The only problem is you can't order online. You have to order through a 'trunk keeper' so it makes it difficult for people sometimes. ...about the Mommy and Me special for May. It doesn't necessarily have to be "mommy" and me. It can be grandma, aunt, sister, etc. Give it as a gift for mom (or mother-in-law)! Spaces are VERY limited for May so if you think you want to book the shoot, do it now before the special expires!

I couldn't resist posting these 2 shots. He was such a good boy the entire shoot, but towards the end he was so tired that (with his mom holding him straight up and talking to me) he passed out! So we had to use his big monkey for this...

On Vacation...

...just wanted to remind everyone that I will be on vacation starting today and returning on the 4th! Emails and phone calls will be returned when I get home! It's been on the blog before, but this picture just makes me laugh!!

I had to redesign my logo (long story) so here is the sample photo with the logo on it. It's a nice feeling when you create your own logo rather than having someone do it for you.

So here is another engagement session that I had to post. You'll notice similarities between this shoot and the next because...Kim and Billy are brother and sister who decided to do their engagement photos on the same day/same time! Isn't that convenient? It was fun and I'm SO happy you guys were able to get the shoot done before you moved!!! The first photo is PRICELESS!!! :)

Sneak Peek for Jenny

I'm on my way out the door so I wanted to get a quick peek up for Jenny and her family. He made me into a liar when I said 10 week old babies are a little harder to photograph than newborns...he was happy for about 99.9% of the shoot! :) Enjoy the sneak peek and I look forward to seeing him again when he's sitting!:) He loved to keep his hands like this...so cute!!!

On vacation...

I will be on vacation and not answering emails from April 28th until May 4th. I will also be taking 2 weeks off in June and just about all of my spots for June are taken. If you want to book a photo shoot for some time in the beginning of the summer, now is the best time. On to the photos, this is Sue, one of my BEST clients....ever! Shelby will be back very soon for her 1st bday shoot! Sue and Alex didn't plan on being in any of the photos, but these were just too cute! :)
